Angela Ahrendts DBE was most recently Senior Vice President of Apple Retail where she redesigned Apple’s physical and digital businesses to create a seamless customer journey for over a billion visitors a year and 70,000 global employees. Prior to Apple, as CEO of Burberry she transformed and tripled the company’s value. Her leadership was pivotal at Liz Claiborne where they acquired and integrated 22 brands, and prior as President of Donna Karan International. Angela also serves as Chair of the Board for Save the Children International and is on the boards of Airbnb, Ralph Lauren and WPP; and non-profit Boards of charity: water, and the HOW Institute for Society.
Robert's background is in international business. He has also worked for over ten years in the not-for-profit sector. He has lived in Spain for 30 years. He was Chair of the Board of Trustees of Save the Children Spain and still sits on the Spanish Board. He has been a member-elected member of the SCA/SCI Boards since 2019.

Lars Heikensten is a Swedish Economist with a PhD from the Stockholm School of Economics. He has a broad professional background having worked in academia as a teacher and researcher, in Government as Director General in the Ministry of Finance and Governor of the Central Bank, and in the private sector as Chief Economist at Handelsbanken. He has also served on the Board of two NGOs dealing with international youth exchanges and education. Lars' most recent executive position was as CEO of the Nobel Foundation, the organization with overall responsibility for the Nobel Prize. Currently, Lars serves on a number of boards, including as Chairman of The Swedish Fiscal Policy Council. Lars joined the SCA/SCI Boards and the SC Sweden Board in November 2022.
Deepak Kapoor (Chairman) is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Fellow Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and Member of the Institute of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA. He has worked with PwC for over 38 years. Mr. Kapoor has diverse experience in the fields of accounting, audit, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, negotiations, forensics and other management advisory fields. He is currently the Chairperson for Save the Children India and a member of SCA/SCI Board.
Roy Caple Hernandez has over 30 years’ experience designing and managing public affairs and communications strategy for private, public and non-governmental organisations throughout the Americas. He was CEO of several communications firms in Latin America, and his expertise has focused on advising leaders, CEOs, Executive Committees and management on strategy, reputation, organisational structures, public affairs and communications campaigns, as well as crisis management and corporate responsibility. In addition to Save the Children, Roy has also served on the board of NGOs that focus on HIV awareness and prevention, as well as strengthening education. Roy has been a Board Member for Save the Children in Mexico since 2008, its Vice Chair since 2015, overseeing Governance issues and participating in the Development, Planning, Programs, Governance and Talent committees. Roy joined the SCA/SCI Board in 2018, and he is the designated Child Safeguarding Trustee.
Debra Fine is the Chair and Founder of Fine Capital Partners, an investment firm founded in 2004. She is one of a handful of women that manages assets for university endowments, foundations, and family offices. She earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude, from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ms. Fine serves on the Board of GrafTech International. She is the founding Board Chair of 8B, a venture-backed student lending business for African students attending world-class universities. Ms. Fine is a Board Member of Edge Certification, a venture-backed SaaS gender equity certification firm serving global multi-national corporations. She is a Board Member of the Center for Global Development and Simprints, an enterprise that provides digital biometric identification for last-mile aid delivery. Ms. Fine is an advisor to the Yale Center on Economic Growth and Board Member of itrek, which builds graduate student engagement with Israel.
Brad Irwin has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Welch Foods Inc., a global processor and marketer of juices and jams, since February 2009. Prior to this role, Brad was President, Cadbury Adams North America LLC, the North American confectionery business unit of Cadbury Schweppes plc, from June 2007 through November 2008.
Teresa Mbagaya is a Kenyan education specialist and principal of global impact investment firm Imaginable Futures, which focuses on building healthy and equitable systems for all learners. She has an extensive background in education, youth development and digital education transformation.
Larry Kamener, is a Senior Adviser and former Senior Partner in the Boston Consulting Group. During his time with BCG, Larry founded and was the inaugural leader of BCG’s Global Public Sector Practice. He founded and is now the Chair of the Centre for Public Impact, a BCG Foundation based in London. Larry is also the Chair of Teach for Australia and the Strategic Advisory Council of the Bastow Institute of School Leadership is a Board Member with the Melbourne Theatre Company. Larry has been a director of Save the Children since September 2019.
In 2017, Anne Gates retired as president of MGA Entertainment, the largest privately held global toy company in the United States. Prior to that she spent more than twenty years at the Walt Disney Company, in various roles including Executive Vice President and CFO of the Consumer Products Division, based in Los Angeles, and Managing Director for Consumer Products Europe and Emerging Markets, based in London. In 2010, Anne Gates was named to the Power List of Britain’s 100 most influential Black people. Earlier in her career, she worked in both the US and Europe for PepsiCo, Bear Stearns (Investment Banking), AT&T (Marketing) and Bell Labs (Research). Currently, Anne Gates is an active board director, spanning diverse industries. She is currently the Chair of the Tapestry Board (an S&P 500 company). Additionally, she is Chair of the Audit Committees at Kroger, and Cynosure (a Clayton, Dubilier & Rice owned company). She also serves as chair of the Governance and ESG committees for Tapestry and Raymond James Financial. Anne Gates is personally committed to the not-for-profit sector, focusing on improving education, equity, inclusion, and effective nonprofit financial stewardship. She engages with multiple nonprofit boards aligned with these goals. She is a member of the board of Salzburg Global Seminar, an organization convening leaders across cultures, generations, and industries, to encourage new thinking, inspire action, and create just and sustainable change. At Salzburg, she is Chair of the Board’s DEI Working Group. At Public Media Group SoCal (the major PBS affiliate in Southern California), she serves as the Vice Chair of the Board, and Chair of the Investment Committee. Anne joined the SCA/SCI Board in 2022.
