Ian Vale is the Regional Director for Save the Children, East and Southern Africa region. Prior to this appointment, he was the Regional Operations Director and before that, the Senior Operations Advisor in East Africa. Before joining Save the Children, Ian managed humanitarian programs with International Medical Corps (IMC). He has a Masters in Change Agent Skills and Strategies.
Ekin Ogutogullari has been Save the Children’s Regional Director for Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe since January 2022. Before that, Ekin was Country Director of SCI Ethiopia Office. Prior to re-joining SCI in 2016, he was International Medical Corps’ Regional Representative for East and Southern Africa. Ekin has worked in the sector for over two decades; with Save the Children in South Sudan, Kenya, Sudan, Ethiopia, Yemen, Palestine, Georgia, Turkey, and Tajikistan and with other organisations in Sri Lanka, Kenya, Serbia, Nepal, Kosovo, Burundi, Malawi, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Denmark, Somalia, and Zimbabwe at country and regional levels.
Ekin graduated from Hacettepe University, with a BSc in Social Work and studied MSW at the same university. He was awarded the UK’s FCDO Chevening Scholarship for MA in Social Policy and Administration at University of London. He recently received his MPH from University of South Africa with his thesis on Cervical Cancer.
Dr. Victoria Ward (she/her) is the Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. She has worked in Latin America and Africa for 25+ years. She has an academic background in public health and holds a Ph.D. from Tulane University.
Kim is the Pacific Regional Director where works with Pacific Country Offices in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, and partnerships in Tonga, and on behalf of Pacific members, Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. Previously Kim worked as the Country Director for Save the Children in Malawi and Thailand, and led technical quality and business development for Save the Children in Ethiopia. Before joining Save the Children, she worked for the International Rescue Committee, the American Council on Education’s Center for International Initiatives, and the U.S. Institute of Peace. Kim’s first experience working abroad was two years as a community development volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Namibia. She holds an M.A. in international affairs from George Washington University, and a B.A. in cultural anthropology from the College of William and Mary.
Hassan Noor Saadi is working in development/humanitarian sector for past 18 years mainly covering South Asia, Middle East, and East Africa. Currently, Hassan Noor is Regional Director Asia for Save the Children and previously was Country Director of Save the Children in Somalia/Somaliland. He holds an M.SC in Economics with majors in Development.
